Meet the Author:

Cherie was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan, and after completing her college education, she moved to Los Angeles, California, to pursue a career in the educational field. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Master of Education degree in Educational Technology.

With 19 years of experience in education, Cherie has held various roles, including teacher, instructional coach, and STEM educator. Currently, she serves as a Restorative Justice Educator and Lead Mentor for the district's internship program. 

Cherie's passion for STEM education and her commitment to teaching social emotional learning drive her efforts to help students enhance their emotional intelligence and to inspire the next generation of thinkers and innovators. As an educator, she strives to create engaging learning environments that foster curiosity and a love for discovery, ensuring that her students are well-prepared for the future. 

Her journey to become an author began in 2020 with her first book, "My STEM Brain." Shortly thereafter, she decided to publish the book in Spanish to support dual language programs and encourage Spanish literacy among young learners. Most recently, she wrote and self-published a book titled "The World Needs YOU," A book about finding your awesomeness!
